Wolfson PhD student Jakob Seidlitz is the lead author of a new paper in the journal Neuron that describes a way of mapping the brain - and finding correlations between IQ and 'hubbiness', or connections between higher-order brain regions.

'Wolfson Places' photo competition winners announced

The winning images in the 2017 Photo Competition have been announced. Over 130 photographs were submitted, with the participation of 25 people, including postgraduate and undergraduate students, but also Alumni, Fellows, Senior Members and staff. Anna Bagnoli, Postgraduate Admissions Tutor, who organised the competition said, "Thank you to everyone who took part in the photographic competition ‘Wolfson Places’. Given this enthusiastic response, we have decided to launch another competition round. Details will follow shortly."

Just announced - new PhD Studentships in the Department of Engineering

Two studentships of £21,297 (+£5,000 for consumables) per annum, to start in October 2018 and to be reviewed annually, are available for prospective students wishing to conduct research in the field of Structural and Architectural Engineering. The studentships are tenable for 3 years in the first instance. The research projects will have particular emphasis on novel facade systems for cutting-edge live projects.

Remembering the Royal Opening of the College, 9 November 1977

1977 was a momentous year for the College. On 1 January, our Royal Charter and new Statutes came into effect and Wolfson College became an independent College of the University.  Governing Body held its first meeting on 10 January, and 19 January saw the final meeting of the Trustees, who had overseen our journey to becoming an independent college with our own buildings and accommodation, well on the way to financial security.

The non-stipendiary Fellowships with dining privileges and annual research allowance are without limit of subject and tenable for one year from 1 October 2018, renewable for a further two years. Wolfson students among first recipients of new University Prize
