Professor Jane Clarke, the sixth President of the College, and the first woman and first scientist to hold the position, will reach the end of her term of office in September 2024.

The College is now seeking applications and nominations for her successor, to carry on her work and maintain the College’s progress during an important phase in its development.

Starting in Michaelmas Term in 2024, the next President will nurture the College community at all levels, support excellence, ensure financial growth, and represent the College within the University, nationally, and internationally.

The next President will be a person of internationally recognised distinction, committed to academic excellence and with proven success in collaborative leadership. Whether drawing on a career inside or outside the education sector, the College seeks someone who is a clear communicator and is respectful of the diversity of views, backgrounds and life experiences of its community.

College Presidents hold seven-year, non-renewable terms and reside in the President’s Lodge, within the College grounds, throughout the term of office.
