Visiting Wolfson College

You are welcome to independently explore Wolfson's public grounds during College opening hours. Just let the Porters at the Porters' Lodge know you are here as a prospective student, and they will be happy to give you a College map!

In-person tours of the more private areas of College (with our Student Recruitment Officer or a Student Ambassador) are additionally available for prospective Foundation Year, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate students and their supporters.

To arrange a tour, please email Caroline, our Outreach and Student Recruitment Officer. You can also enjoy our virtual tour (which includes some example accommodation) or take a video tour with student ambassador, Jake. We can additionally put prospective students in email contact with a Wolfson student ambassador in a similar subject, or with a similar academic background.

In 2024, an article about mature study at Cambridge was published on the University Website; it features Ella, one of our former English undergraduate students (now an MPhil student at Wolfson).

We invite prospective students to register for the University's College tour day. We have partnered with the two other Mature Colleges, Hughes Hall and St Edmund's, to run a unique day event. The event will run from 10:45 to 16:15 PM. You can register through the event page on the University website

Cambridge 21+ 2026

This free virtual and residential outreach programme is run jointly with our colleagues at the two other Mature Colleges, Hughes Hall and St Edmund's. It is for home students looking to complete their first undergraduate degree (or the University's Foundation Year Programme). There will be an online element in April and May 2026 and an optional residential in July 2026. You can read our recap of the successful 2025 residential here.

In 2026, the virtual strand of the programme will offer tailored sessions on applying to university, the value of university, academic skills, finance, and making a competitive application to Cambridge. The optional two-night residential will allow selected students to immerse themselves in Cambridge life; you will attend departmental visits and a panel sessions with current mature students, receive individual advice on personal statements, and enjoy activities in the city, such as punting on the river Cam.

For full details of this exciting programme, please visit the Cambridge 21+ page. You can apply for the programme through the University website. The deadline for registration is Wednesday 22 April 2026 (12:00am)

Mature Applicant Webinars 2026

Each webinar tackles a different topic relevant to mature student life and making a competitive application as an older student. Sessions include presentations by Mature College admissions staff, the chance to hear from current mature students, and an opportunity to submit questions live.

You can register for sessions in 2026 via the University's Application Webinar Series webpage.
