Four Wolfson academics promoted in University review

Congratulations to four Wolfson academics who have been promoted by the University of Cambridge in this year’s review.  

Wolfson's promoted academics

Fellow Dr Celia Donert (History) has been promoted to Professor (Grade 11) and Fellow Dr Tolu Oni (MRC Epidemiology) has been promoted to a Clinical Professorship.  

Additionally, Fellow Dr Matt Farr (History and Philosophy of Science) has been promoted to unestablished Associate Teaching Professor (Grade 9) and Bye-Fellow Dr David Bulmer (Pharmacology) to University Associate Professor (Grade 10). 

Professor Celia Donert (Fellow) 

Professor Celia Donert is a historian of Central Europe in the twentieth century. Her research seeks to explore the history of socialism, nationalism, gender, and human rights in contemporary Europe from a transnational and global perspective.

Professor Tolu Oni (Fellow) 

Professor Tolullah Oni is a public health physician and urban epidemiologist. Her global practice-informed research sits at the interface of population health, urbanisation and climate change. She adopts a transdisciplinary systems approach to co-design and co-produce urban health research for healthy sustainable cities that help to prevent diet and activity-related NCDs, focused on air pollution, built environments, and food environments in rapidly growing cities globally.

Dr Matt Farr (Fellow) 

Dr Matt Farr is a philosopher of science specialising in the nature of time and causality. Within the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, Matt lectures on a variety of topics within the philosophy of science, including the philosophy of physics, philosophy of psychiatry, and scientific explanation.

Dr David Bulmer (Bye-Fellow) 

Dr David Bulmer is a pharmacologist and neuroscientist with a longstanding interest in Gastrointestinal Pharmacology. David's research is focused on understanding the causes of pain in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and the development of novel treatments.
