Wolfson College contributes to the 2020 Cambridge Science Festival. Our first event sees Wolfson fellow Professor Lloyd Peck talk about his research on animal adaption in the extreme conditions of Antarctica.
Leading polar marine biologist Professor Lloyd Peck works at the forefront of investigation into animal adaptations in extreme environments. His current interests are in how adaptation to specific environments affects animals' abilities to respond to change, and how to get the best data to make these evaluations. Having conducted nearly 30 seasons of research in the Antarctic, his talk will offer fascinating insights into how species survive and thrive in the coldest, driest, windiest, most isolated place on earth.
