Applications open for 10 new JRFs and a Henslow Fellow position at Wolfson College

Up to 10 new Junior Research Fellowship positions and one Henslow Fellowship position are now open for application at Wolfson College.

Wolfson Junior Research Fellows

The College is looking for passionate and creative researchers in any discipline to join a cohort of dynamic and exciting researchers.

The new Junior Research Fellows (one-year, non-stipendary, renewable for a further two years) and Henslow Fellow (three-year, stipendary, non-renewable) will not only work on innovative research and engage directly with contemporary issues, but also support our students, providing them with mentoring and guidance to become the next generation of researchers.

President of Wolfson College, Professor Jane Clarke, said: “We welcome applications from early career researchers in all disciplines to join our diverse and inclusive community here in Wolfson College. If you come to Wolfson, you will learn to see the world in a different way”.

Engaging, interdisciplinary research

As a modern and forward-looking College, Wolfson is looking for applicants with innovative research backgrounds that engage directly with 21st-century issues.

The connection of research and global challenges at Wolfson is facilitated through the Interdisciplinary Research Hubs, which unite the College community in addressing some of the most urgent issues in the world today.

“We particularly welcome applicants who would like to contribute to our new Interdisciplinary Research Hubs – those who can bring a new perspective to the understanding of global challenges – in Global Health, Conservation & Sustainability and Gender,” says Professor Clarke.

"Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of all we do, so our community will actively support actions that help deliver sustainable outcomes for all peoples and the planet.”

Academic community

Wolfson College is home to an active research community of over 30 Junior Research Fellows, from a wide range of nationalities and disciplinary backgrounds.

“I wanted to join Wolfson because it is egalitarian and widely diverse, offering activities and opportunities that challenge me intellectually and broaden my outlook personally and academically,”  says Dr Gabrielle Davidson, current JRF at Wolfson and Leverhulme-Newton Trust Early Career Research Fellow at the Department of Psychology.

“Since the moment I joined, I was so warmly welcomed that I felt like I'd been a member for years. There's such a wonderful sense of community at Wolfson.”
