ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Nicholas is a health and life sciences VC with a background in clinical medicine and corporate law. He started his career as a surgeon and subsequently as a sector specialist has held senior roles in a number of leading European private equity and venture capital firms.  As well as corporate advisory, academic and honorary visiting positions, he is a frequent speaker, panellist and lecturer at Cambridge University, Judge Business School, Cass Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business. Nicholas has been an expert adviser to the government in several recent high-profile reviews and has worked in the UK healthcare policy and regulation.

Nicholas holds qualifying degrees in medicine and law, a master’s degree from Imperial College London and an MBA from London Business School.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Nick will be speaking on "Getting a business model right - from ideation to early-stage start-up: VC Perspective". The event will look at developing a perfect business model for any early-stage idea and start-ups as well as any business venture. As a VC with a wealth of experience in accessing business plans submitted by businesses and start-ups seeking funding, Nicholas will be addressing all the issues around adopting a viable and attractive business module/plan that would help you secure the funding you need for your business.
