Vassilis is a Professor of Molecular Biology in the Department of Pathology at the University of Cambridge, specialising in crystallography, cell biology, biochemistry and infection.

Vassilis Koronakis

Vassilis's research combines cellular and structural biology with biochemistry and has uncovered many aspects of how disease-causing bacteria subvert our cells to initiate infection, and how microbes build nanomachines in their cell membranes to pump out antibiotics, so developing multi-drug resistance.
