Simon is an Industrial Tutor on the taught MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management at the Institute for Manufacturing (previously a Wolfson College based programme) and was Course Director from 2005 to 2015.
His early career started in Dunlop Ltd as New Product Design Engineer followed by a number of senior project management positions in Africa and the Middle East. From 1986 he was Marketing Manager of Rehau Ltd, the German industrial polymers company, and then went on to be Sales Director for part of the Halma Group. He became a Chartered Marketer in 2001.
Simon holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh, an MSc from the University of Southampton and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and was a postgraduate student on the original manufacturing programme at Cambridge.
Simon has teaching interests with Cairo University, the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah and Mathias Corvinus Collegium, Budapest.
