Duncan McCallum has been the University’s Deputy Academic Secretary since 2002, having previously been Secretary of the Board of Graduate Studies from 1988. He graduated in History at Clare College (1972-1975) and obtained an MA in American History from the University of Sussex in 1976, before spending twelve years in the administration of the University of Sheffield.
His current duties involve responsibility for all student-and education-related areas within Cambridge’s central administration, and acting as Secretary to a variety of central committees, most recently the General Board’s Education Committee.
In his spare time he is a keen amateur actor and Chairman of Cottenham Theatre Workshop.
