Financial support is available for students studying the four-year Graduate Course in Medicine (CGCM) from 2024/25.

Year 1
Tuition Fees | - The annual tuition fee is currently £9,250.
- Students can access a non-means-tested Tuition Fee Loan from SFE of up to £5,785.

Living Costs | Maintenance Loan - Students can apply for a Maintenance Loan from SFE, which is partially means-tested.
- The standard maximum amount available from SFE is £10,227 (based on living away from home and studying outside of London).
- This figure is based on a standard course length of 30 weeks and 3 days, therefore Graduate Medicine students may be eligible for an extra allowance known as the Long Courses Loan.
Cambridge Bursary Scheme - Some students may be eligible for a non-repayable bursary of up to £5,600 annually, details of which can be found here.

Years 2-4
Tuition Fees | - The annual tuition fee is currently £9,250. However it is subject to government regulation and therefore may change in future.
- An annual contribution of £3,465 is available from the NHS Bursary Authority, to partially cover the tuition fee.
- Students can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan from SFE of up to £5,535.

Living Costs | Maintenance Loan - Students can apply for a Maintenance Loan from SFE. The maximum amount available is £2,670 for 2024/25 for years 2 & 3 and up to £2,081 in the final year of study (based on living away from home and studying outside of London).
NHS Bursary - Students can apply for a means-tested bursary, currently up to £2,643* (living away from home and studying outside of London) and a non-means-tested grant of £1,000.
- The figure of £2,643* is based on a standard course length of 30 weeks and 3 days, therefore Graduate Medicine students may be eligible for an extra payment known as the Extra Weeks Allowance.

Other Allowances
Other allowances may be available including Dependants Grant; Child Care Grant; Parents Learning Allowance, costs for disabled students and practice placement costs. More information is available on the NHS Business Services Authority.
