Cafeteria Menus

Cafeteria meals are served in the Dining Hall every day. There are usually three choices for the main meal, including meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Where possible all ingredients are locally and seasonally sourced. You can see which meals are available each day, along with prices and allergens, via the cafeteria menus.

Opening Hours

Please find the opening times for the Cafeteria in the table below. Note that Dinner service on Tuesdays and Fridays takes place in the Club Room, rather than the Dining Hall, and closes 30 minutes sooner at 19:00.

Prices & Payment

Cafeteria prices are displayed in the Servery and on the daily menus, and students receive a 25% discount. We operate a cashless payment system to pay for meals.

In order to make cashless payments, you will need to set up a UPay account.  All members have an account on the UPay system; your University ID card will be linked with your UPay account before you arrive. Once you have your Raven ID you can set up your account to make cashless payments.

New students receive a temporary overdraft on their College card that may be used for cafeteria purchases, up to a maximum of £150. This overdraft is primarily designed for international students who may not yet have set up a UK bank account. The overdraft is closed on the division of term (9 November), at which point any outstanding charges are transferred to your College Account to be included in your next college bill.

Phone Policy

The use of mobile phones and similar devices for taking calls or listening to music without headphones is prohibited at all times in the Dining Hall. Although the use of such devices for quiet purposes, such as messaging or browsing, is permitted, Wolfson encourages members and their guests to use mealtimes for social interaction and conversation. Stricter rules apply at Formal Halls and Guest Nights, where it is not permitted to use mobile devices for any purpose in the Dining Hall, including photography.

Formal Halls

A core Cambridge tradition, Formal Halls are special College dinners served by candlelight, in which attendees wear formal attire. Formal Halls at Wolfson take place in the Dining Hall or Combination Room on Tuesday and Friday in Full Term, and on Tuesday at other times. These events have a dress code and advance booking is required.

Upcoming special dinners include St David's Day (Fri 3 March), St Patrick's Day (Fri 17 March) and St George's Day (Tue 25 April).
