There will be two 45-minute online sessions: one for STEMM students and another for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; you only need to attend one session. There will be a short presentation followed by a chance to ask questions.
Join Dr Beth Barker between 18:00 and 18:45 to discuss qualitative and quantative methods, as well as primary and secondary data analysis. Beth is a Research Associate at the Centre for Research on Play in Education, Development, and Learning (PEDAL) in the Faculty of Education.
Between 19:00 and 19:45 Dr Alexis Deighton MacIntyre and Dr Chunxiao Li will address the methods they have used, the challenges they experienced, and how they overcame them. Alexis is a cognitive neuroscientist based at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit. Her research spans auditory perception, speech processing and production, and timing and rhythm. Chunxiao is an epidemiology researcher specialising in understanding how genetic and behavioural factors influence type 2 diabetes.
