"Silver Street" barbershop quartet, formed in London in 2017, is made up of former members of the Fitz Barbershop group in Cambridge. They have all left Cambridge now but still love to sing. In May 2019 they finished in the top 6 of the first British Association of Barbershop Singers ("BABS") contest, and have high hopes for the future.
When not singing, the members of Silver Street spend their time as a healthcare data consultant, a trainee solicitor, a financial trader, and a computational biologist (in descending order of voice part!
Admission free with a retiring collection split between the performers and the Music Society (WCMS).
The Alexandra Ensemble performs a programme of music by British composers for soprano and violin.
A lunchtime lecture and concert focussed on k̲h̲ayāl, a system of vocal music within the broader universe of Hindustani music.
