About Wolfson

Welcome to the official website of Wolfson College Cambridge. I hope you will find here the information you need about the College, its Fellows, staff and students, its buildings and environment, its social, sporting and academic life, and the many different facilities it has to offer students, visitors and alumni.

Professor Sir Richard Evans FBA, President

The majority of our students are carrying out research towards postgraduate degrees, in particular PhDs and MPhils, but there also students studying for taught Masters degrees and a number of mature undergraduates. Wolfson has a large and diverse Fellowship of academics working within the University of Cambridge, including about 30 postdoctoral Research Fellows each year, as well as regular academic visitors from abroad, further enhancing the College's international reputation.

The College was founded by the University of Cambridge in 1965 as University College, changing its name to Wolfson College in 1973 following generous funding from the Wolfson Foundation. The College is now a mature institution and plays a full part in the life of the University of Cambridge, both intellectually and also culturally.

This website sets out the opportunities that Wolfson College offers, to both prospective and current members, whether students, researchers, teaching academics or alumni. If there is some information you need but cannot find, please do not hesitate to contact us.
