Wolfson Volunteer Spotlight: Tasha Mapenzi
The Wolfson Research Event (WRE) is an annual interdisciplinary academic conference organised by our students to showcase the diversity of student-led research in College.
The fifteenth WRE took place on 7 & 8 May in the Lee Hall.
Thirty students participated over the two days either presenting their research in a 10 minute talk or as poster. Topics included cinematic representations of urban inequality in Tehran, immigration and utilization of dental care for children, narrating the self in contemporary American literature, and links between forest structure and biodiversity.
Find out more about the event in the Conference Booklet .
The event was organised by a student committee. They coordinated the call for papers, peer-review panels, workshops to prepare speakers, rehearsals, and the smooth-running of the two-day event, as well as liaising with College staff to organise the WRE dinner and alumni panel.
