Virtual Shut Up and Write Sessions

These are quiet times to write in a distraction-free environment. Protect your writing time and maintain an online community with other Wolfson students. Think of it as your writing oasis!

Man saying shhhh

Open to everyone, at all stages of their studies.

Session schedule:

  • 13:00 (BST) -13:10: Log in, say hello and state what you’re working on or your writing goal for the session. Afterwards, please mute your mic and turn off your camera until break time.
  • 13:10-14:10: Write (1 hour)
  • 14:10-14:20: Break (10 min) - turn on your mic/camera and chat to others in the group
  • 14:20-15:20: Write (1 hour)
  • 15:20-15:30: Wrap-up and say goodbye (10 min)

Ideally, you will arrive at the beginning and stay for the entire session, but you can of course arrive when you can and leave when you need to. And keep healthy snacks and drinks within reach!

We will use Zoom for the meetings. You will be emailed a link to the meeting when you book. Please note that these sessions are only for members of Wolfson College.
