Praelector greeting new undergraduate at matriculation

You become part of an international, egalitarian and inclusive community of scholars. Here are just a few reasons to meet the world at Wolfson.

We don’t just talk about diversity, we live it. Students from over 80 different countries live and work at Wolfson.

Academic support. Through our dedicated team of Tutors and Directors of Studies, we help every student to fulfil their academic and creative potential.

This is a place for adults. Half of our undergraduates are aged betwee 21-23, and across the College the average age of our students is 25 (although we have students in their 30s, 40s, 50s – and even 60s!) Our Tutors know how to help returning learners and postgraduates to fulfil their potential.

We mix old and new. We maintain the traditions of a Cambridge College of academic excellence with a welcoming, close-knit and friendly environment.

You are welcome at the table. Wolfson students and Fellows interact on an equal basis, sharing social spaces. Unlike other Colleges, there is no high table in the Dining Hall.

This is a place to call home. As an undergraduate, you are guaranteed a place to live for the duration of your course.

Peace and quiet, but close to the action. Cambridge is compact. We are a short cycle ride to the city centre, the University Library, the Sidgwick and West Cambridge sites and even closer to the beautiful Grantchester Meadows, where generations of Cambridge students have picnicked by the River Cam.

You’ll find friends here. We have the most welcoming Porters in Cambridge, there day and night to offer help and an encouraging word. You’ll find smiling faces all over the College community, from our catering and food service staff to the gardeners who tend our beautiful gardens.
