This house was the home of the Antarctic Explorer Sir Vivian Fuchs. Following purchase by the College it was extended, and was home for Professor Sir David Williams and his family from 1990-92, while he was President of the College and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge. Now the house is used primarily as accommodation for Academic Visitors.
The Fuchs House music room, shown at right, can be booked for music practice. There is a grand piano available for use by advanced pianists, and a library of music scores.
