It’s hard to believe that when the College was founded in 1965, Bredon House was all that existed! A cosy English house, which was then surrounded by an orchard, is now the administrative centre of Wolfson College.
The College Office, the Tutorial Office and the offices of the President, Bursar, Domestic Bursar, Development Director and Senior Tutor are all located in this building. The ground floor on the side shown in this photo also houses the Karen Spärck Jones Room, where daily newspapers and recreational reading material is available, and the Old Combination Room, originally the dining room of the College, which is now used for a variety of meetings and events.
