Astron Douglas is the Director of Studies for Undergraduates and College Teaching Officer in Law at Wolfson College. He is also a member of the Centre for English Legal History at the University of Cambridge. Astron supervises land law and equity in the Cambridge law tripos.
Astron's research interests are in the areas of contract law, property law and equity. He is currently completing his PhD in the Faculty of Law at Cambridge, which looks at the history of equity and contract law in the 18th century Court of Chancery. Astron also holds an LLM from the University of Cambridge, and an LLB and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. Before coming to Cambridge, Astron worked at the law firm Freehills in Sydney, and as a judicial assistant on the New South Wales Court of Appeal.
