Nikhil is a Core Trainee in the Acute Care Common Stem for Anaesthetics.
Nikhil achieved a First Class Masters in Pharmacy at the University of Bath, undertaking his pre-registration year at the University Hospital Southampton, becoming a clinical pharmacist. He then went on to read Medicine in the Graduate Course at Wolfson College, Cambridge.
Nikhil has a strong interest in medical education, having been a supervisor in pharmacology for several years at Wolfson College. He was an Academic Foundation Doctor focusing on education, delivering simulation and bedside teaching to medical students and foundation year doctors. He has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at the University of East Anglia and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Nikhil is currently undertaking an educational project at Ipswich Hospital regarding regional anaesthesia, focusing on different methods of delivery for teaching resident doctors about rectus sheath catheters post abdominal surgery.
