Nadia joined College in 1991 when she was awarded the Wolfson College Ribbands Studentship for her PhD studies in Physics of Deformation of Materials. Later on she was elected into the College Research Fellowship and finally became a College Fellow in 1999 when she joined the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy as a technical officer.
Nadia's major area of research is focused on fundamental aspects of materials for electronic devices, with thin films being a particular favourite. She combines traditional work on giving lectures and supervising students with the design and implementation of complex experimental facilities.
Nadia is married with one grown up daughter, and her interests include duplicate bridge, travel and music. If you are a contract bridge person or would like to become one - please get in touch: it's been a long time since Wolfson College had a bridge team.
