Hannah completed an undergraduate degree in Economics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews, and holds a Masters in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health from the University of Bristol. In 2021, Hannah completed her PhD in Epidemiology at the MRC Epidemiology Unit at the University of Cambridge. Her PhD research, funded by Public Health England and the University of Cambridge ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership, explored changes in soft drinks marketing in response to the UK Soft Drinks Industry Levy. During her PhD, Hannah also completed an internship at the UK Government’s Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, where she reviewed the use of trade theory in analyses.
In April 2021, Hannah was appointed Research Associate in the Population Health Interventions programme at the MRC Epidemiology Unit. She is a member of the Governance, Ethics, and Conflicts of Interest in Public Health Network and the Systems Evaluation Network. Hannah also supervises MPhil students in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care.
