Dr Cyrus Chothia FRS

After taking science degrees at Durham and London Universities, Cyrus Chothia first came to the MRC Laboratory in Cambridge for three years during the 1970s. His subsequent research career included periods at Yale, at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and at University College, London.

After returning to Cambridge in the 1990s, Cyrus joined Wolfson as Senior Research Fellow in 2003. He became a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2000.

His principal academic interests are in molecular biology and molecular evolution, and his personal interests are cinema and books.
