Wolfson Visiting Fellow honoured by the Pope

Rabbi Leon Klenicki, who was a Visiting Fellow of Wolfson in 2001 and is the Anti-Defamation League’s Interfaith Affairs Director Emeritus, has been knighted by Pope Benedict XVI for his historic contributions in creating positive relationships between Catholics and Jews around the world.

Sixth-form students are not the only ones who have had a stressful time collecting their A-level results. Nerves were also running high among the many mature-aged students opening their results letters. Thirty-six-year-old Colin Hughes, from Milton Keynes, got an A grade in A-level classical civilisation and will be coming to study classics at Wolfson this autumn.

Wolfson alumna Susan Kiefel, 53, will take up her appointment on September 3, replacing retiring Justice Ian Callinan. She will sit alongside Justice Susan Crennan, making it the first time Australia has had two female High Court judges at the same time.
