There were plenty of familiar faces at Wolfson last Saturday, as the College welcomed back over 100 alumni for this year's reunion.
As part of the University’s wider Alumni Festival, which takes place over the last weekend in September each year, Wolfson alumni returned to College on Saturday for a series of events, talks, and a special black-tie dinner – giving them the chance to reconnect with the College community and catch up with old friends.
The day began with brunch in the Dining Hall, followed by Research Talks in the Lee Hall delivered by a range of speakers. Senior Tutor, Dr Judith Bunbury, discussed her work leading to the groundbreaking discovery of the lost tomb of pharaoh Thutmose II, and current PhD student, Susie Triffitt, talked about the Evangelical Revival in Bradford.
After the talks, and refreshments, visitors moved to the Combination Room to enjoy Wolfson’s celebratory 60th anniversary art exhibition, Celebrating the Visual – Wolfson at 60. This exhibition showcases the diversity of its contributors, the College, and its members, and tells the visual story of Wolfson’s artistic journey.
The day concluded with a champagne reception, followed by a lively black-tie dinner in the Dining Hall, with conversation continuing late into the evening.
Overall, this year’s reunion was a vibrant celebration, with alumni ranging from their twenties to their nineties sharing memories and making new ones. It was a pleasure to welcome them back to Wolfson, and we hope to see them again soon!
