Wolfson Volunteer Spotlight: Tasha Mapenzi
Over 200 members of the Wolfson community gathered in London last Thursday to celebrate the College’s 60th anniversary at a special black-tie dinner hosted by the Rt Hon. Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alistair King.
After a drinks reception and sung grace, Wolfson alumni, staff, students, Fellows, and members sat down for dinner amidst the soaring columns of the building’s grand eighteenth-century architecture.
Between courses, guests were treated to a performance by the renowned King’s Men, the acapella group of the Choral Scholars of the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge, as well as speeches from the Lord Mayor and Wolfson’s President, Professor Dame Ijeoma Uchegbu.
A huge thank you to all who joined us for this spectacular evening – and to the Lord Mayor, for offering us the chance to truly celebrate in style!
