Women of Wolfson - Ghina Halabi

Dr Ghina Halabi has a busy schedule - just this week she participated in a panel discussion with Professor Jane Clarke at the Mill Lane Lecture Halls on Panel Discussion - 'Rationality, Science and Equal Representation'. She will be giving a talk on 20 March as part of the Cambridge Science Festival on  'Lives of stars: adventures out of this world'. And she'll also be giving a keynote at the upcoming Wolfson Research Event, 'Shining brightest in your constellation'.

Through her website, She Speaks Science, Ghina is raising the visibility of women in STEM by making science accessible and engaging with storytelling, and she is part of the UN Space for Women project. She will shortly be heading for Jordan to speak at the United Nations/Jordan conference Global Partnership in Space Exploration and Innovation in Amman later this month. 

Ghina was recently featured in the University's special publication for International Women's Day, where you can read more about her work and her passion for communicating science through storytelling.

We look forward to hearing about the conference in Jordan, and welcoming Ghina to the Lee Hall on 26 April for the Wolfson Research Event.
