This is a good weekend to root for Wolfson athletes, both on the water and on the ice. Be sure to cheer them on from afar and online too.

The Boat Races take place in London on Saturday, and Wolfson is represented by Larkin Sayre (shown here doffing her Hunter wellies with panache) racing in the Blondie crew. You can follow those results on The Boat Race website and social media channels. Larkin, who is American, is doing an MPhil in Energy Technologies.

Meanwhile in St Moritz, the Cambridge ice hockey team are playing in the 100th official Varsity Match. The rivalry started in this Swiss resort in 1885 when Cambridge and Oxford on the frozen lake (the current match is on an open-air rink). The team is shown below at the airport on their way to Switzerland; Wolfson student Michal Barabas is fourth from the right. Michal is from the Czech Republic and is studying medicine.
