Green week timetable

Organised by the WCSA Green Officer Millie Race, there is lots to get involved in:

Mon 17 Oct - Green Talk x Science Society: How to forecast organism adaptability to future climates

Join evolutionary geneticist Dr Yang Liu for an online presentation regarding the vulnerability of biodiversity under future climatic scenarios, and how the adaptability and evolvability of phenotypes are altering in a changing climate.

This is a virtual event held as a Zoom webinar at 6pm. Please register to attend.

Mon 17 Oct - Organic Wine Tasting

Do you know your Chardonnay from your Sauvignon Blancs? Sulfites from Tannins? Or just want to try something different from Lambrini? Join us in the Clubroom at 8pm to try a selection of Organic wines. Maybe you'll find your new favourite!

Tue 18 Oct - Wolfson Gardens workshop with the Wolfson Gardeners

Join a small group of other students at 11am to build bird boxes and hedgehog homes. Learn all about wildlife here at Wolfson and how you can carry on improving biodiversity in our gardens.

Please RSVP to head-gardener@wolfson.cam.ac.uk to reserve your place.

Tue 18 Oct - Community Litter Pick

Join us at 11am on the corner of Silver Street and Queen’s road to collect litter as we walk parallel to the College “backs”.

Please contact Millie Race at wcsa-greenofficer@wolfson.cam.ac.uk for more information.

Thu 20 Oct - Green Week Dinner

Celebrate the University-wide Green Week with a vegan and vegetarian meal from 7.15-9.15pm. This will be a lovely opportunity to recognise our community’s efforts so far and welcome new bright minds tackling ‘green’ problems at Wolfson College.

Sign up using the usual formal booking system.

Green week events at Wolfson are supported by the Sustainability and Conservation Hub and Wolfson student Deidre Boodoosingh (Green Officer Coordinator, Cambridge Climate Society).
