Overview

Interested in volunteering, giving back to the community and growing your leadership skills?

Join us for tea and cake and find out how you can volunteer your time to a cause that’s close to your heart. Each week, you’ll hear from community groups and charities about their wonderful projects and how you can get involved.

Charity

Supporting the local community & inspiring leadership in others with Frank Lee, Cambridge University alumnus and Group Lead Volunteer at Newnham Scout Group.

Newnham is fortunate to have its own local Scout Group, only a few minutes walking distance from the College. The group is thriving with about 150 children aged 4-18.

The Centre welcomes student volunteers who may be looking for something worthwhile to do in their spare time with a feeling of satisfaction that they have really made a difference.

Volunteering in Scouting is flexible and can be tailored to suit you, whether you can give a little time (or a lot) every minute you give will help improve lives in your community and enable young people to have fun.
