Practising relaxation techniques a little time each day helps in ways that influence many aspects of life for the better.  Everyone can benefit from learning relaxation techniques which can help to:

  • improve physical performance
  • lower anxiety
  • reduce stress levels
  • enrich personal relationships
  • improve mental capacity
  • relieve aches and pains
  • reduce excessive muscle tension

This will be a practical session, giving participants the opportunity to experience and learn several relaxation techniques.  Participants should wear warm comfortable clothing and bring with them a towel.  Yoga mats will be provided.

**This is preceded by a posture workshop. You can book one or the other, but not both. Bookings can only be made by Wolfson students.**

The session will be run by Karen White, physiotherapist.  Karen is a Chartered and Registered Physiotherapist. After qualifying from King’s College London in 1984 she gained her clinical experience in the NHS in Norwich and Cambridge. She founded Cambridge City Physiotherapy Clinic (www.cambridgephysio.co.uk) in 1998 which specialises in Musculo-skeletal physiotherapy including spinal conditions, sports injuries, foot orthotics and occupational health.
