This practical session is designed to give students essential basic insight into the muscle groups involved in maintaining good posture, some of the pitfalls for students spending study time in poor postures which might lead to discomfort. It will involve learning simple exercises and understanding good working postures. Participants should wear warm, comfortable clothing and bring with them a towel.

**This is followed by a relaxation workshop. You can book one or the other, but not both.**

The session will be run by Karen White, physiotherapist.  Karen is a Chartered and Registered Physiotherapist. After qualifying from King’s College London in 1984 she gained her clinical experience in the NHS in Norwich and Cambridge. She founded Cambridge City Physiotherapy Clinic (www.cambridgephysio.co.uk) in 1998 which specialises in Musculo-skeletal physiotherapy including spinal conditions, sports injuries, foot orthotics and occupational health.
