Overview
This workshop is an opportunity to work with co-founder and director of the DVLS CIC & Biophilic Education Alliance, Rosina Dorelli, on a real brief for their proposed school in Cambridge.
We will draw on ideas about project-based learning (PBL) to design an exemplary Biophilic Education School, to demonstrate what a progressive school of the future could be like, based on a new way of delivering the standard UK curriculum through transdisciplinary PBL, the Da Vinci Life Skills curriculum & skills-based assessment.
This event is co-hosted by the School Design Study Group (SDSG) – co-founded by Juliet Harrison-Egan (architecture) and David Baker (education) – and Wolfson Research Networks. SDSG Design Workshops are opportunities for people from architecture, education and beyond to work together in small groups on a design brief relating to an aspect of school design. You do not need to have been to earlier events to join in.
