Performers

Peter Ng is a pianist and a Wolfson masters student in Theoretical Physics, recently graduating from UCL with BSc Physics. He studied piano with May Tong since the age of four, before undergraduate studies in the UK. During his undergraduate years, he was an active member in UCL’s Chamber Music Club, and performed both solo and chamber music in numerous concerts for the club, such as J.S. Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, and Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn Piano Trios in d minor.

He is a joint winner of the 2024-25 Ian Cross Instrumental Scholarship at Wolfson.

Sergi Savanelli, is a talented baritone hailing from Georgia, and has been captivating audiences on stage from childhood. He started studying opera in 2018. He initially studied under Sulkhan Gvelesiani a baritone at the Tbilisi State Opera House, and since 2022 has been working with Nino Lezhava, a renowned soprano and vocal pedagogue. Savanelli’s repertoire includes the roles of Belcore from Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore, and the title roles from Mozart's Don Giovanni and Le Nozze di Figaro.

In September 2022 he had the privilege of performing at the prestigious Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro during a masterclass with the renowned tenor José Carreras, and in 2023 sang in a masterclass with the esteemed Georgian baritone George Gagnidze at the Tbilisi State Conservatory.

This concert is open to the public and there is no need to book.

Admission is free with a cash retiring collection.

 

Access

This event will take place in the Dining Hall on the first floor of our main building. There is step-free access with a lift and an accessible toilet.
