Full title: The War Babies of Black GIs and White British Women: experiencing racism and exclusion and searching for a sense of belonging

Drawing on over fifty interviews undertaken by the speaker, the paper will explore some of the  experiences of the children born in the 2nd World War to Black GIs and British white women, particularly focusing on the racism they underwent,  their felt exclusion from 'Britishness' and their long search for a sense of belonging.

This is a virtual event held as a zoom webinar. Please register to attend.

As a webinar attendee, you can view the speakers' and hosts' videos and see their presentations. The Q&A facility allows you to engage with the speakers after the talk. You do not need a camera yourself, as attendee videos are not shown. More information on how to join a webinar is available here.
