The Gender Hub warmly invites you to an informal workshop on Gender & History.

A collection of colorful badges featuring various gender symbols and pride flags, representing different gender identities.

Overview

Led by Professor Celia Donert, this workshop will provide an informal space for students and researchers interested in studying gender from a historical perspective, or studying history through the lens of gender, to share their research, learn about the work others are doing, and plan future events.

The workshop will start with an introduction from Professor Donert, leaving plenty of time for networking and discussion.

Facilitator

Celia Donert is Professor of Contemporary European History in the Faculty of History, and a Fellow of Wolfson College. Her research focuses on the history of central and eastern Europe, communism and socialism, nationalism and internationalism, and gender. Her next book, which will be published by HarperCollins, explores women’s battles for liberation in communist Europe.
