Overview

Storytelling is vital to humanity's culture. Everyone of us has a story, we have story history before us and story future beyond us. We're all telling stories, our own, or decoding someone else's story. Filmmaker Alex Browning will be discussing the importance of finding who you are as a storyteller with Professor Ijeoma Uchegbu, after a screening of Daylight Rules, a Sci-Fi drama short film starring T'Nia Miller (soon to be starring in Marvel’s limited series Visionquest) and David Ajala (Star Trek: Discovery).

Speaker

Alex Browning is a filmmaker and television director with over seventy episode credits for the likes of BBC, ITV and Channel 4, has been named on Broadcast Hotshot list for directors. Alex's award-winning short film Daylight Rules, a Sci-Fi drama starring T'Nia Miller and David Ajala, commissioned by SKY and BFI, has recently been developed into a feature film. His most recent work has been concerned with narratives within imagined futures, climate optimism, decolonised communities and faith.
