Computer RoomWolfson is well equipped with shared computing facilities for College members. The Computer Room, on the ground floor of the Lee Library, contains 18 PCs running Windows XP and SuSE Linux 10, connected to the Internet and University servers via the University's Public Workstation Facility (PWF). Users save their files on a central file space which can also be accessed from many faculty and departmental machines. The room is open 24 hours a day, accessible via the College card. All the major software titles are available, e.g. MS Office, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Putty, WinSCP, Adobe Acrobat Reader, X11, Ghostscript, LaTeX, etc. A colour and two monochrome laser printers, and a flat-bed scanner are also available. |
