Lunchtime recital

Anton Lukoszevieze (cello) and Christopher Green-Armytage (piano) will be the guest performers at this week’s Wolfson College Music Society lunchtime recital, performing music by Fauré, Pergolesi, Chopin and Beethoven. Saturday 10 March, 1.30pm, Lee Hall. Admission free (retiring collection). All welcome!

Wolfson Fellow and Director of Studies in Architecture, Dr Alistair Fair, will address the Society for the History of the University this week with a paper entitled “‘An ideal campus’: the genesis and design of the Sidgwick Site, 1948-63″. Thursday 8 March, 8.30pm in the Old Library at Darwin College.

A night at the opera with Symphanova

Dr John Gage FBA College regrets to record the death of Dr John Gage FBA, art historian, formerly Head of the Department of History of Art, and Fellow of Wolfson from 1978 to 1989. Dr Gage was an international authority on colour in Western art and on the work of J.W.W.
