Wolfson College celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the Speelman Fellowship in Dutch and Flemish Art, one of only two fellowships devoted to the subject in the English-speaking world, with a conference on 23 September 2011.
'Collections and Scholarship: Netherlandish Art in Cambridge,' will bring together six former fellows and two other specialists in the field who will discuss a range of subjects from Dutch manuscripts in Cambridge collections to trompe l'oeil paintings. Together they will highlight the long-standing and intertwined traditions of scholarship and collecting in Cambridge (full programme). The full-day conference takes place in the Lee Hall. Please contact Dr Meredith Hale (mmh43 @cam.ac.uk) for further information.
