Mr Christopher Lawrence has been appointed Bursar of Wolfson College, to succeed Dr John Seagrave, who retires on 31 March.
Mr Lawrence is currently General Manager of the Academy of Ancient Music and has served previously as Business Manager of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He is a Cambridge man, having read Classics at Queens College. He went on to do an MSc at Durham University Business School. He has worked in corporate strategy roles for the Prudential Corporation, and started his career with the Cambridge Festival.
Mr Lawrence will take up the Bursarship on 1 July 2007, but the Council has elected him to a Fellowship with immediate effect.
