Additional facilities

Photocopier

The photocopier in the basement reproduces both in black & white (A4=5p), A3=8p) and colour (A4=20p, A3=30p). Copies are charged to funds on your Wolfson College Card, which must be initialized at the College Office before you use it for the first time. Cash is not used. Further credit can be added to your photocopying account via the machine on the wall next to the photocopier.

The paper trays are checked and replenished as necessary every morning. If you find that the machine is out of paper during office hours, please ask the Library staff for help. At all other times (evenings and weekends), please ask at the Porters' Lodge.

A rotary trimmer for cutting paper to size is available in the Photocopying Room.

Comb Binding Service

The comb binding service is available to Wolfson members during Library office hours by appointment. Binding is competitively priced, starting at 50p for up to 30 sheets, up to a maximum of £2.00 for up to 440 sheets, including the comb, a transparent cover for the front and a glossy white cover for the back. This service is popular and the Library staff are not always available. Please plan ahead if you have a deadline to meet! Email the Librarian (library @ wolfson.cam.ac.uk) to make an appointment.

Bones

A human male half-skeleton, two skulls and a model of the brain in 15 parts are available for use in the Library. These models may be borrowed for use in a supervision by arrangement with Library staff, but otherwise should not be taken out of the Reading Room. A full articulated female skeleton is available in the Nurse's Waiting Room in Morrison House outside surgery hours (please sign out the key at the Porters' Lodge).

Study skills section

A selection of titles covering a range of topics including reading and writing at university for the first time, returning to academic study after a career break, writing and publishing a research paper, and guidelines to completing a Ph.D. are available for loan from the shelves outside the Librarian's office.

If you have suggestions for additional topics or particular titles that you think would be useful, then please let us know.
