Medicine at Wolfson
Medical training at Cambridge is heavily science based. This exploits the strong research base in biomedical sciences at Cambridge. The scientific element of the course carries substantial advantages for Cambridge trained physicians, allowing them to easily understand and work with new findings and developments.
Due to the competitive nature of the course, it is important that you make sure you meet/will meet the below matriculation requirements and that you have appropriate healthcare experience before you apply for the course.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for students who are highly motivated and enthusiastic about medicine and have the academic ability to learn very fast in a demanding course. You should have a strong scientific interest in medical sciences and a realistic view of Medicine as a career.
At the same time, we seek applicants who exhibit the human qualities of excellent clinicians, such as compassion, empathy, integrity and drive. Accordingly, the admissions process evaluates the applicants’ academic background and scientific aptitude, as well as evidence of exposure to relevant medical environments through volunteering or shadowing experiences.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have an A-Level (or equivalent) in Chemistry, and two in Biology/Human Biology, Physics, Mathematics or Further Mathematics. Most successful applicants have at least three science/mathematics A Levels with grades A*A*A or higher. Affiliated applicants additionally need a good BA Honours Degree with at least a 2.1 grade. Healthcare Experience
We strongly advise obtaining medical/healthcare experience as a paid or volunteer worker in the private or public healthcare industry and the shadowing of medical professionals in hospital/GP practice. We look for varied and consistent hands-on patient care along with experience working within an NHS environment.
Applications
Applications to study Medicine at Wolfson are submitted through UCAS. The College additionally requires the completion of the Biomedical Admission Test (BMAT) and an online interview, as detailed below.

| Interview | Shortlisted candidates will be invited to be interviewed in December. There will be two interviews (each lasting 20-25 minutes) which will be conducted online via Zoom. |
