If you will be aged 21 or above by 1 October in the year you hope to come to Cambridge, then you will be applying as a mature student. Wolfson College welcomes those who want to commit to a full-time course with the same demands, opportunities and facilities that school-leaving age students experience. The rewards of studying for an undergraduate degree may be personal, professional or both and the varied backgrounds and future aspirations that our mature students bring with them create a unique study atmosphere. Whether you have already started working towards the goal of university study or are just starting to explore the options available, we hope that the information in this section will answer your questions.
Mature applicants must follow the standard application procedure as stated on the University of Cambridge website. Please also see our Information for applicants section for information specific to applying to Wolfson College.
If you are a graduate with an approved degree from another university - the equivalent of grade 2:1 in a UK BA or BSc honors degree - you can apply to take a Cambridge BA course as an affiliated student. This means that students could take a degree in two years rather than three. Please note that for US or Canadian applicants, the equivalent of a 2:1 UK BA honors degree is a GPA of 3.7/4.0. If your degree is from the EU or overseas, you may wish to contact UK NARIC in order to verify your eligibility for affiliated status.
Wolfson College is one of three mature colleges to consider affiliated applications for Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Those applying for the affiliated Medicine programme might also wish to consider the Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine.
Affiliated applicants must follow the standard application procedure as stated on the University of Cambridge website. Please also see our Information for applicants section for information specific to applying to Wolfson College.
Please note that affiliated applicants cannot submit an open application.
