College Computer Room

The Lee Library building houses a large computer room on the ground floor with 18 modern PCs (running both Windows and Linux), which are integrated with the University’s Managed Cluster Service (MCS), open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with automatic file backup. These computers are ideal for word processing and accessing email and the Internet. They also give access to some course-specific specialist software. Networked laser printers can be used for 5p per sheet. No other charge is made for the use of this facility, which includes computer support as necessary. In the Lee Library itself there is a computer for the library catalogue and Internet searches. In the Club Room three terminals give quick and easy access to email.

For those living out, most private rental properties in Cambridge have a hi-speed Internet connection via BT, Virgin Media or Sky.

Specialist software packages and more complicated equipment are generally available within academic departments, and if necessary we can advise you who to approach for help with specific computing issues.
